This project involved us lighting the video that was submitted for the festival as well as some fine artistic photography for the client. Some of the final work will be displayed on the big screens in Tokyo Japan, Shibuya Crossing. It’s fantastic to be involved in the mix with some of the most amazing global creative artists.
Some of the imagery tells the story of Kunui Oiwa’s unique hand movement and dancing. It’s creative, inspiring, artistic and beautiful.
We used a single strobe with a circular reflector paired with a Fujifilm Camera and 23mm/85 mm lenses. Photos were offered both in colour and black & white with fine tuning in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
Kinui’s work can be seen @kinui_oiwa or @ourocollective on instagram as she continues to work with both Tokyo and Vancouver based artists and dancers.
